Guild Rules, Pre-requisites and Rules of Conduct!
The first mention of Arthur's "Round Table" was in Wace's
Roman de Brut. It was said to have seated fifty knights and its shape
suggested equality among the knights who sat there. The stories of the
knights of the Round Table reflected the ideals of the chivalric code and
the court of King Arthur was the center of order, justice and
civility". {Quote - Round Table}
In game this means we are courteous and helpful with others in our guild and
alliance. Our main goal is to become an RvR guild. That just means that we will
mainly melee with our fellow Hibernians and Midguardians in combat for keeps,
relics and just because they look funny! This game was designed for RvR, once
you get there you will COMPLETELY understand. It was fun leveling my first 50,
but the real fun started once I jumped into RvR!
We are family-oriented, we all have a say in any decisions. If
there is something you disagree with, feel free to bring it up to an officer and
we will always listen to everyone's points. Just please don't get upset if we don't answer right away. Fighting 3
Succubus' or a Nightmare or 2 in DF can take come
concentration.
Pre-Requisites
- The main pre-requisite is a willingness to work together and have FUN in
game. That is the first and foremost important requirement.
- To become a member of the Knights of the Round Table you need to have
achieved at least the 20th level. We do this based on past experiences where
low levels would join the guild and take gold and items from members then
immediately leave the guild. By requiring at least level 20 this makes us
know that the applicant is really interested in joining our ranks. However,
if you already have a main in the guild of level 20 or higher, any of your
alts can join regardless of their level. Their guild rank cannot surpass the
rank of the main.
- Upon admittance to the guild, there is a 2 week grace period where you
will stay at rank 9, regardless of level.
- If your main is in the guild, any and all of your alts are welcome into
the guild. Level is not a factor.
- As you level, you earn promotions. This is how the officers hand out
promotions:
Level 20 -
25
Knight in training to Squire (ranks 9-7)
Level 26 -
30
Guild Mentor (Rank 6) Lets you wear guild emblem and hear Alliance Chat.
Level 31 -
35
Crusader (Rank 5)
Level 36 -
40
Champion (Rank 4)
Level 41 -
50
Lesser Knight (Rank 3)
In order to achieve rank of Sr. Knight (Rank 2) or Knight
(Rank 1) it will be up to the decision of the officers of the guild upon
application for those ranks. If you are a level 50 and have shown great chivalry
towards your fellow guild mate, you may request an officer to be promoted in
rank. The promotion is based on a discussion by the officers as to the level of
the rank.
- It is not a requirement but we do hope you help your fellow guild mate as
often as possible, whenever possible. Whether it is grouping together and
leveling or forming a raid of any sort, maybe it will be to craft/spellcraft/alchemy
items or even drop them a few gold whenever possible.
- We also STRONGLY request you refrain from making rude comments in /as chat
when you are given that privilege. This includes starting arguments because
you personally feel noone is willing to help with realm wars and such.
Remember, this is a GAME. Everyone plays it differently so we ask you just
give everyone basic courtesy and respect in /as chat.
**One of the many perks which I have added since I have become one of the
GM's is helping as much as possible but I have found I must put some rule into
effect of my own. One of my favorite parts of the game, when PvE becomes boring,
is to craft. I currently have an Legendary Armorer and Tailor and I am working
on an Alchemist and Spellcrafter and Fletcher.
I chose as a GM to provide free Spellcrafting and Alchemy potion services to
guildies ONLY! This means ANYONE who has been recognized by me as being in the
guild for 2 weeks or longer, and doesn't always play in ANON, can benefit from
this service. If you have alts in other guilds, then yes, they have to pay.
Armor is done at cost to guildies, usually even lower than cost depending on
level or armor. Again, if you aren't in the KotRT guild, then you must pay my
quoted price.
As in any group or club setting, we also have things we do not want done as
well.
- We DO NOT condone
begging in the street of Camelot or anywhere else for that matter for gold,
armor, weapons or whatever else is needed. If you need anything, contact the
highest ranking person on and they will help you. We have a reputation to uphold and begging isn't the reputation we want to
have.
- We expect everyone to be in the guild for 2 weeks before they start asking
for gold, armor or whatever else they are asking for. This is to determine
the degree of seriousness for the guild. No one likes people joining the
guild, taking money and items from guild mates, then jumping into another
guild.
- We expect EVERYONE to be respectful towards everyone in the guild
and in the alliance. Discussions and camaraderie are expected and even suggested, but you can
talk about topics while still keeping an open mind and respecting your guild
brethren.
This is a game after all and we want this to be fun, but we also need to keep
a sense of order as well. Most of all....
HAVE FUN AND WE WILL SEE YOU IN THE GAME!
